Validity Screening Solutions Newsletter - July 2008

Nearly every year the price of state driving records increases. Sometimes the increase is nominal; in other cases the increase can be quite significant. For example, in 2007 the state of Washington doubled the price of their motor vehicle records. This year, the price for obtaining a motor vehicle record in the state of Missouri increased by 300%.

States are allowed to make these increases at any time and the prices will continue to increase each year. Motor vehicle records are generally used for background screening requests, by reporters for news stories, and for insurance purposes. These types of companies need access to this information and are forced to endure the cost for whatever the Department of Revenue is willing to charge.

Validity offers discounted pricing on motor vehicle records in July and December. This is a great time to order driving records on all your employees for their annual rechecks. This will save you a lot of time and money.
