Introduction

Read below for the latest news from the Validity Screening Solutions team.   We appreciate your business so please let us know if there is anything we can assist you with.

Summer is quickly approaching and many companies hire employees for the summer. Temporary and summer employees should not be forgotten when it comes to running background checks. Validity offers background services designed specifically for juvenile summer hires. The services we recommend are the AdvantageScreen and the Multi-State Sex Offender Registry.
In the event that an applicant wants to dispute information that was reported on their background check, there are several steps that need to be taken.
Disclosure and Release Forms
According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), a disclosure and release form must be signed by the applicant authorizing the investigation before a background check can be conducted for employment purposes. The employer must keep the original copy of the release disclosure for a period of five years.
Social Security Online
The Social Security Administration Web site is a great resource for employers. Employers can get W-2 information, file W-2 reports electronically, verify Social Security numbers and get information about Social Security benefits. For access to these links, simply go to www.socialsecurity.gov, click on the Employers link on the right side of the main page under Information For.

Validity’s iDology:

Validity is built on an iDology that guides every action - from what we do and how we do it to whom we hire and whom we serve. That iDology is simple: We believe the only way to separate fact from fiction is by going to the information's source instead of second-hand data. As a result, you get more accurate information - information that helps you make confident business decisions
